STANDARD ITINERARY

DAY 1
0630hrs: Meet at the hotel in Kota Kinabalu (KK) city area and transfer to Kinabalu National Park (KNP). The journey takes approximately 2 hours drive. Mount Kinabalu is the main attraction in Kinabalu National Park, also known as Malaysia's First World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO. Once arrive at the park HQ, pre-check at Sabah Parks' operation office before meeting your appointed Mountain Guide for a short briefing. Packed lunch en route and transferred to Timpohon Gate. Start your trek, the journey takes about 4-5 hours to reach Panalaban (known as Laban Rata). Along the way up, observed the pitcher plants, rhododendrons abound and 1,200 species of orchids and oaks trees that had been discovered. Once arrive at Panalaban, check into the accommodation and settle in. 1800hrs: Dinner will be provided and rest for the night.

 

DAY 2
0200hrs: Wake up and early morning supper will be provided. Start hiking up to explore the summit, Low's Peak (4,095.2m) and expect to reach the summit in time of sunrise. 0700hrs: Return back to Panalaban for breakfast. 1000hrs: Check out and descend to Timpohon Gate. 1400hrs-1500hrs: Estimated time of arrival at Timpohon Gate. Transfer to the park HQ and meet our representative to collect your successful climb certificate before proceeding to a restaurant nearby for late lunch. After lunch, transfer back to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu city area. 1800hrs-1900hrs: Estimated time of arrival in Kota Kinabalu city area.

Meals: 1x packed lunch, 1x dinner, 1x supper, 1x breakfast and 1x afternoon lunch/high tea.
Inclusions: Return land transportation, 1x night stay at Laban Rata Resthouse (based on dormitory bunk bed), all Sabah Parks' fees and tariffs; conservation fee, climbing permit, insurance, mt. guide service, climbing certificate and tour guide/driver.
Exclusions: Extra drinks & meals, porter fee and any other items not listed in the inclusions list.

If you have a history of suffering from the following ailments, it is highly recommended that you should refrain from climbing: Hypertension, Diabetes, Palpitation, Arthritis, Heart Disease, Severe Anemia, Peptic Ulcers, Epileptic Fits, Obesity (overweight), Chronic Asthma, Muscular Cramps, Hepatitis (Jaundice); or any other disease which may hamper the climber.
