STANDARD ITINERARY
DAY 1
0700hrs: Meet at the hotel in Kota Kinabalu (KK) city area and transfer to Kinabalu National Park (KNP). The journey takes approximately 2 hours drive. Mount Kinabalu is the main attraction in Kinabalu National Park, also known as Malaysia's First World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO. Upon arrival at the park HQ, pre-registration at Sabah Parks' operation office before meeting your appointed mountain guide for a short briefing. Packed lunch en route and transferred to Timpohon Gate. Start your trek, the journey takes about 4-5 hours to reach Panalaban (also known as Laban Rata). Along the way up, observed the pitcher plants, rhododendrons abound and 1,200 species of orchids and oaks trees that had been discovered. 1500hrs: Check into Pendant Hut (3,289 m) and settle in. 1530hrs: Attend the mandatory Via Ferrata familiarization in Pendant Hut and meet your Mountain Torq trainer. 1800hrs: Dinner will be provided and rest for the night.
DAY 2
0130hrs: Wake up, an early morning supper will be provided. 0230hrs: Start hiking up to explore the summit, Low's Peak (4,095.2 m) and expected to reach the summit in time of sunrise. 0600hrs: Descend from Low's Peak to meet your Mountain Torq trainer. 0630hrs: Meet your Mountain Torq trainer at the 7.5km mark for Low's Peak Circuit Via Ferrata experience (intermediate Via Ferrata, 4-5 hours, French Grade AD). 1100hrs: Return to Pendant Hut for a well-earned breakfast. 1200hrs: Check out of Pendant Hut and descend to Timpohon Gate. 1600hrs-1700hrs: Estimated time of arrival at Timpohon Gate. Transfer to park HQ and meet our representative to collect your summit achievement certificate and Via Ferrata certificate or buy some souvenirs before proceeding to a local restaurant nearby for late lunch. After lunch, transfer back to your hotel in the Kota Kinabalu city area. 1900hrs-2000hrs: Estimated time of arrival in the Kota Kinabalu city area.

Inclusions: Return land transportation, 1 x night stay at Pendant Hut - based on a dormitory bunk bed (day 1), Via Ferrata activity indicated above - Low's Peak Circuit, Via Ferrata full equipment, mountain torq trainer, Via Ferrata certificate for successful attempt only, all Sabah Parks' fees and tariffs; conservation fee, climbing permit, insurance, mountain guide service, summit achievement certificate and tour guide/driver.

Pick-Up Service and Transport Arrangement:
- Our friendly representative will greet and meet you at the hotel lobby. Should you encounter difficulties in locating our representative, please call the hotline number given for further assistance.
- Please take note that all transportation will be based on Seat-In-Coach (SIC). This is a transfer service in which guests may share the vehicle with other guests. This is also a Door-To-Door (DTD) service with multiple pickups and drop-offs throughout the journey. Do expect some delay and short waiting time.
- We do not recommend you to catch your flight on the same day that you descend the mountain due to possible delays from injuries, tiredness and/or bad weather and traffic conditions.
- For 2 days 1 night package, the transport will pick you up from your hotel between 6 am - 6:15 am (please arrange with your hotel for early breakfast).
- For 3 days 2 nights package, the transport can pick you up from either the airport or your hotel in Kota Kinabalu city only. Please provide to us your flight details. However, pick up on day 1 after 1 pm, a surcharge for late transfer to the mountain area may apply.
- An additional surcharge of RM 40.00 per person will be imposed for pick up / drop off service outskirt Kota Kinabalu city area (eg. Nexus Karambunai Resort, Beringgis Beach Resort).
- Our group rates are quoted without deviation, which means we provide only one return transfer for your group. If your group requires more than one return transfer, additional charges may apply.
- After descending to park HQ, all climbers are subjected to a pre-determined pick-up time set by the travel agent with the last transport returning to Kota Kinabalu city at is latest by 6 pm. We will ensure your possible wait of not more than 2 hours at the park HQ. However, if you missed the last transport (which is unlikely) or wish to depart at your own preferred time, we can arrange a private transfer for you (subject to availability). Please take note that the surcharge of any of the private transfers will have to be borne by you. The private transfer surcharge IS RM 300.00 per way/transport.
Important Notice:
- Do take note that your passport / IC will be required for verification during registration at the Kinabalu Park office.
- Please inform us when making the booking if there is a special dietary request (eg. Vegetarian).

It is recommended that all climbers should have themselves medically checked before attempting any mountain climb. If you have a history of suffering from the following ailments, it is highly recommend that you should refrain from climbing: Hypertension, Diabetes, Palpitation, Arthritis, Heart Disease, Severe Anemia, Peptic Ulcers, Epileptic Fits, Obesity (overweight), Chronic Asthma, Muscular Cramps, Hepatitis (Jaundice); or any other disease which may hamper the climber.
