The remote peak of Mount Trusmadi is the 2nd highest mountain in Sabah and Malaysia at 2,462 meters. Located within a forest reserve, this mountain is extremely rich in flora and fauna which makes it a wonderful trekking environment. Unlike Mount Kinabalu, only a few tourists hike up Mount Trusmadi and very often you have the mountain all to yourself. This is partly due to the remote location of the reserve, as well as the steep and challenging terrain of the mountain.
