• Lok Kawi Wildlife Park (open 7 days weekly) - Time: 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.
• Wild Animal Show (Twice daily) - Time: 11:15 am & 3:15 pm (no show on Friday).
• Elephant Ride (Twice daily) - Time: 10:30 am & 2:30 pm (open only on weekends, School Holidays and Public Holidays).
• Option to hope on the train ride (pay extra RM2.00 per person) to tour the wildlife park ground (for guest who doesn’t like walking) - Time: 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 2:00 pm & 3:00 pm.

TAMBUNAN RAFFLESIA CENTRE, KIPANDI BUTTERFLY FARM & MAHUA WATERFALL

STANDARD ITINERARY

0730hrs: Meet at hotel in Kota Kinabalu (KK) city area and depart to Tambunan district. The approximately 2hrs journey will be passing by Crocker Range and the chance to view the countryside. Along the way, stop by at Kipandi Butterfly Park to have a closer look at some of the rarest species of butterfly such as the Rajah Brooks and the Golden Birdwings. Visit The Insects Museum and The Native Plants Collection Park to see what are the endangered orchids and pitcher plants of Sabah. Then proceed to the Rafflesia Information Centre. Upon arrival, meet the appointed centre’s ranger and proceed to jungle trek along the forest trail in search of the largest flower in the world, Rafflesia. After the trekking, enjoy a pack lunch at the nature hut while take pleasure in the beauty of the forest reserve. After lunch, depart directly to Mahua Waterfall in Tambunan which is located about 55 minutes from the Rafflesia Centre. Upon arrival, trek for about 500 meters to the waterfall which offers marvelous view. At your leisure, feel free to have a dip in the fall or simply enjoy a picturesque view. 1600hrs: Transfer back to your respective hotel in Kota Kinabalu area. 1800hrs: Estimated time arrival at Kota Kinabalu city area.

• The duration of the jungle trek (from R.I.C to flower plot) varies as it depends on the flower plot visited.
• As mitigation, entering the Forest Reserve (Conservation Rafflesia Plots) after 3:00pm is strictly prohibited. For those who are permitted and still within the area are required to come out of the area at 3:00pm.
