STANDARD ITINERARY

DAY 1
0700hrs: Meet at hotel in Kota Kinabalu (KK) city area and transfer to Kinabalu National Park (KNP). The journey takes approximately 2hrs drive. Mount Kinabalu is the main attraction in Kinabalu National Park, also known as Malaysia's First World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO. Once arrived at the park HQ, pre-check at Sabah Parks' operation office before meeting your appointed Mountain Guide for a short briefing. Packed lunch en route and transfer to Timpohon Gate. Start your trek, the journey takes about 4-5hrs to reach Panalaban (known as Laban Rata). Along the way up, observed the pitcher plants, rhododendrons abound and 1,200 species of orchids and oaks trees that had been discovered. 1500hrs: Check into Pendant Hut (3,289m) and settle in. 1530hrs: Attend the mandatory via ferrata familiarization in Pendant Hut and meet your Mt. Torq trainer. 1800hrs: Dinner will be provided and rest for the night.
 
DAY 2
0130hrs: Wake up and early morning supper will be provided. 0230hrs: Start hiking up to explore the summit, Low's Peak (4,095.2m) and expected to reach the summit in time of sunrise. 0600hrs: Descend  from Low's Peak to meet your Mt. Torq trainer. 0630hrs: Meet your Mt. Torq trainer at the agreed meeting point for your chosen via ferrata experience. 1100hrs: Return to Pendant Hut for wash up. 1200hrs: Head to Laban Rata Restaurant for a well earned lunch. After lunch, recuperate from the 11+hrs day,  have a well deserved nap, sit in the sun (weather permitting) and have a cup of the famous Sabah Tea at the base of Pendant Hut while watching the therapeutic mountain scenery. 0600hrs: Dinner will be provided and rest for the night.
 
DAY 3 [back up day for another summit attempt if day 2 was not successful]
0700hrs: Wake up, pack up and have breakfast. 0830hrs: Check out of Pendant Hut and descend to Timpohon Gate. 1300hrs-1400hrs: Estimated time arrival at Timpohon Gate. Meet our representative and transfer to park HQ to collect your successful climb and via ferrata certificates or buy some souvenirs before proceed to a local restaurant nearby for late lunch. After lunch, transfer back to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu city area. 1800hrs-1900hrs: Estimated time arrival in Kota Kinabalu city area.

Meals: 1x Packed lunch @ Kinabalu Park (day 1), 2x dinner @ Laban Rata Restaurant (day 1 & 2), supper @ Pendant Hut (day 2), 1x set lunch at Laban Rata Restaurant (day 2), 2x breakfast @ Pendant Hut (day 2 & 3) and 1x lunch/high tea (local menu) @ Kinabalu Park (day 3).
Inclusions: Return land transportation, 2x nights stay at Pendant Hut - based on a dormitory bunk bed (day 1 & 2), Via Ferrata activity indicated above - Low's Peak Circuit (by default), via ferrata full equipment, mt. torq trainer, Via Ferrata certificate for successful attempt only, all Sabah Parks' fees and tariffs; conservation fee, climbing permit, insurance, mt. guide service, climbing certificate and tour guide/driver.
Exclusions: Extra drinks & meals, porter fee and any other items not listed in the inclusions list.

It is recommended that all climbers should have themselves medically checked before attempting any mountain climb. If you have a history of suffering from the following ailments, it is highly recommend that you should refrain from climbing: Hypertension, Diabetes, Palpitation, Arthritis, Heart Disease, Severe Anemia, Peptic Ulcers, Epileptic Fits, Obesity (overweight), Chronic Asthma, Muscular Cramps, Hepatitis (Jaundice); or any other disease which may hamper the climber.
